Shannen Doherty shares an effective photo for Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Shannen Doherty refers to Breast Cancer Awareness Month in an exceptionally individual way.
The ex-star of “Beverly Hills, 90210″, who fought the infection for nearly two years, said she was leaving last April and shared a true retrospective photo of herself that held her dark hair.
Doherty wrote, “This image is so personal to me.” “I had started chemo; I was using a top part of the ice in the plane, so I did not lose my hair, the end product was a lot in my hands.
Breast Cancer Awareness month. This image is so personal to me. I had started chemo. Was using a cold cap in hope to not lose my hair. End result was clumps in my hands. I was sick, felt like I was losing myself. Gained people and lost people. Got weak and got strong. Felt ugly and yet more beautiful inside than I had ever felt before. I remember this like it was yesterday, like it was a minute ago. Cancer has so many phases. Shock, denial, acceptance, anger, resentment, rebellion, fear, appreciation, beauty. Remission. Even then, the phases keep coming. Cancer is with you forever. Those who have experienced it know that even after you’ve kicked it’s ass, it still impacts you, in good ways and bad. You still go thru the roller coaster of emotions. You still need support and love. And you can still grasp life and live, live live. #cancer #cancerslayer
The action, which has increased new fans facing the disease with strength, cunning, and energy, at this time, quickly details the ups and downs that have continued throughout his exhausting fight.
“I was sick, felt like I was losing myself. Gained people and lost people. Got weak and got strong. Felt ugly and yet more beautiful inside than I had ever felt before,” she wrote.
The beloved star, who said last November that growth made her a “better person,” described the hallucinatory cycle of feelings she and other cancer patient people know well.
